Commissioned work

A commissioned painting begins with a conversation about the subject, the size and the place it will hang. After that I share sketches and progress, and we agree on a delivery date before I start.

Most portraits are made from life or from a small set of good photographs. Landscapes and interiors can be worked from photographs, sketches or a visit.
